Title: Ice White 3DS Coming to Japan this Fall

Japan gets a new 3DS color this November.

Nintendo will add a new color, Ice White, to the Nintendo 3DS lineup in Japan on November 11. 

The unit will be priced at 15,000 yen ($195), the same as the standard price for the 3DS in Japan. Including the new color, this brings the total number of color variations of the 3DS to five in Japan - Aqua Blue, Cosmo Black, Flare Red, Misty Pink (on 20 October), and the upcoming Ice White.

There is no word if the Ice White 3DS will be available outside of Japan.

That is pretty cool. I would have liked to have got that.

I had a white Phat and a white Lite.


However I do think this colour makes the black background stand out more than the others.
It's a shame that it's a necessity of the system.

I like it! I also have a white DS lite but I am gonna buy the red 3DS. Cos I love some color (I would buy it in orange if there was one). I loved the gamecube cos it was purple.

You know, when Nintendo first showed off the Indigo Cube, I hated it. Over time, it grew on me, though. I still bought a Jet Black, but almost went with the Indigo.


This is a pretty awesome color. It's similar to the new Monster Hunter 3G system just without the special MH3G artwork and such. Man, I would really like to pick this up as I'm not a huge fan of the Aqua Blue I got on launch day (it was the LAST 3DS at the store), but I can't justify buying another Japanese 3DS. If anything, if I pick up another unit, it will be a US one.

Hey I love my Aqua Blue and for the Record if I could have gotten a DS, Wii, and 3DS in Indigo I would have.  It was the color of my GBC, GBA, and GCN.

Yeah I love my Aqua Blue for my 3DS also. Even if the red AND white ones were available when the Nintendo 3DS was launched,  I most likely would've still gone for the blue one. I love the way the color looks at certain angles and light. I was and still am VERY happy with the Nintendo 3DS, (even with it's slow sales start I'm very pleases with it).

I actually think it is less distracting than the other colours except black. It gives it a sort of olde tyme feel to have the system in white and black.

My two favorite looking colors now are the Ice White and Leaf Green. Which means I'm officially just asking for 3DS money for XMas instead of a 3DS now.  I just hope those colors hit the states not too long after XMas.
