Besides the announcement of Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes, Square Enix also announced Japanese release dates for Fortune Street and Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 at their Dragon Quest event held today.

Fortune Street, known as Itadaki Street in Japan, is a board game starring characters from the Dragon Quest series as well as Nintendo's Super Mario franchise. The latest iteration in the series will be heading to the Wii on December 1, priced at ¥6,090.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 for the Nintendo 3DS is the latest installment in the popular spin-off series. Unlike the past two games, which were released for the Nintendo DS, the third addition to the series will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS. It launches in Japan on November 2, priced at ¥6,090.

Shouldn't we be getting these games in the US? I would think these would help system sales. Japan will see nice boosts for sure from these games.

Nintendo already confirmed that they are publishing Fortune Street for Wii this year (and also Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2). I have a feeling that Rocket Slime 3 will come out next year courtesy of Nintendo.

It seems a little strange that Fortune Street is dated for Japan before the NA date is announced, since I thought the game was created with NA in mind.

I don't think it was created with North America in mind, it seems no different than the other games in the series.

It's an enhanced port of the DS version and was announced for the US first (and the trailer was in English), so I didn't mean that it was specifically created to sell in NA but rather it was intended to be the first game in the series released here and would come here first. That was just the impression I got anyway.
