Zen Studios has confirmed that their pinball title, Marvel Pinball, will make an appearance on the Wii U by the end of 2012. The news was confirmed at this year's Comic-Con event.

No exact details about the game were revealed, except that the Wii U will join several other versions.

Marvel Pinball is a pinball simulator featuring themed tables based on popular Marvel franchises such as the Fantastic Four, Captain America, Blade, Spider-Man, Wolverine and many others. One upcoming theme is Ghost Rider.

The game is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network.

Alright people, anyone with a 360 or PS3 might as well not buy anything for those systems anymore. Keep your cash to buy those games on Wii U. Broodwars, and Morari are exempted from this suggestion.

I wonder if it will be the same idea, where you can download the menu for free but have to pay if you want any actual pinball boards. I have heard it's a good pinball game though, so I am glad it is coming to Wii U.

Marvel Pinball's an excellent game, though I have some issues with a few of the tables.  I'm curious if the version the Wii U will get will include all the DLC tables, as we've had 3 on the PS3/360 (Captain America, Fantastic 4, and they've confirmed Ghost Rider is next) and there are still 3 more after those in the coming Winter.  If you don't own one of the HD consoles already, you're getting a great download title.  Although I don't intend to buy this (as I already own the PSN version), this is a good sign that Nintendo's not going to be so ridiculously stingy on their download file size limit.
