Nintendo is bringing Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 to North America, but without the Professional edition's extra content.

The North American release of Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 will not include content from Japan’s re-release, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional.
The Professional edition was released in March of this year in Japan as an improvement on the original, including new monsters and abilities.
Nintendo is instead localizing the original title. The game is set for release on August 28 in North America.
"It has the same story, but adds a number of new features, including over 100 new monsters, a new map, new moves and skills for monsters, and more." (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/12/19/dqmj2_pro_jump_pv/)
Of course this does beg the question of why SquareEnix isn't publishing the game in NA themselves.Because the Nintendo-published Dragon Quest IX and VI sold better than the Square-Enix-published Dragon Quest IV and V.
