Due to Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D being unable to wipe the save data from the game, EB Games Australia has put out a recall nation wide and will no longer be selling the game for the foreseeable future.
After checking with a local store for comment, the salesperson mentioned that the game was being recalled due to a bug in the software that would not allow the game to be restarted. In actuality, the inability to reset the game was intentional, and is mentioned in the manual. When asked if the game would be put back on sale eventually, the salesperson assumes that it will, but not anytime soon.

Clear cut case of doing the right thing for the wrong reasons. While I was mildly interested in this game before, now it goes into the don't touch list.
I agree. This is really really silly. We are talking a High Score game. This is not the first game to do this. In fact I don't remember resets, beyond taking the battery out, very prevalent till GBA. If unlocking everything by yourself is very important to you buy an unused copy. Its as simple as that. The only people I really see being hurt by this is Gamefly and other rental places to be honest.Clear cut case of doing the right thing for the wrong reasons.
