The future looks good for GCN considering all the great first-party and third-party titles set to release on the GCN.

I shall briefly answer this.

No...the GC is not going down a hole as long as there is positive income at Nintendo they will always support it.

There, thread over.

Yup Xbox does have alot of stuff comin.... alot of crappy stuff, just like Ps2; there is like 1 or 2 games that will probably be descent enough to play in that whole bunch.

How can somebody think nintendo is in trouble?  It is so tired to have a brand new thread about this everyday.  And to say XBOX has a lot of 'stuff' coming is a little bit of a wide open statement.  All 3 have a lot of games coming.  IMO, GC has the best lineup this year, plus the secret titles we dont know about yet....I wish I had the last minute of my life back...

The GCN looks the most appealing games-wise in the future out of the three main consoles.  I cannot guarantee whether the GCN will take Xbox's position at second place, but it looks likely, especially since Microsoft is heavily relying on Halo 2, a game that has a good year left in its development process, to maintain that position.

Have you played these games for yourself? How do you know, i mean there is always a chance they will flop just like the long awaited Devil May Cry 2 on PS2.

Yeah i agree Omen

Unless you are referring to the "rabbit hole" comparison of the Matrix, then no.  Period.  End of story.

Okay, right under the rule where it sales no polls there should be a rule about this ridiculous gloom and doom threads. Everyday there is a new one and none of them have any sort of basis behind them. If Nintendo was bleeding money like MS is with the X-box then I could understand it. Nintendo is making bucket loads of cash. They have a great lineup and with the deals they made with Sega, Namco, Capcom, Square, and now Konami show they are committed to the Gamecube.

I definitly think the Gamecube has a brighter future than the XBox does.
So many of the biggest third-party developers have gotten close to Nintendo recently. There are so many joint-venture projects in the works. I think Nintendo's strategy of forging real relationships with developers will, in the long-run, do a lot more for it than MS's practice of simply paying off developers for exclusives.
Of course the XBox's complete failure in Japan will prevent most Japanese developers (which are still, by far, the most important developers to have on your team) from supporting it too strongly. This is what will REALLY hurt MS in the long-term.
Of course, it goes without saying that Nintendo has superior first/second party support over MS. So if it really does gain the upper-hand for third-party support (and I'm confident it will), there's no reason Nintendo won't be able to leave MS in a distant third place. It may take a while though. It wasn't until the very end of the SNES's run that it gained a notable lead over the Genesis. I think we'll see something similar happen with the Gamecube.
