The Ghost Feed was revealed for Ghost Recon Online, coming to Wii U, at the Nintendo developer roundtable featuring Ubisoft tonight.

The feed will always be on and displayed on the touch screen. So, you can check your friends list and interact with them while watching something else on your TV.

Additionally, the online will feature a personalized account system with a seamless, flexible friends list. There are ranking and matchmaking features as well.

We'll have a full preview of Ubisoft's presentation of Ghost Recon Online soon after the presentation.

I do wonder how this game will be packaged because it will be a free-to-play game on the PC. Will there be a disc? Will we install it on the Wii U hard drive or an attached storage device? Will this be a free to play on the Wii U with access to the cash shop? Will there be cross-platform play between the Wii U and the PC?

So many questions and so much time for them to be answered.

I hadn't considered how useful the touch screen would be for managing your friends list while not playing games.

Great news.  Hopefully, this is a sign of more good things to come with the evolution of Nintendo's online experience.

Me neither. How about during games so it doesn't pop up on the TV but on the controller?
