Use your stylus and draw on Wii U.

Measure Up was a Wii U demo that showed off the stylus and drawing capabilities of the system.

The goal of the game is to try to draw lines of a specific length. At first, it begins with a simple demand: draw a 1.5-inch line. Then, it slowly gets more challenging, forcing you to draw geometric shapes of certain lengths. The final one requires you to draw a long squiggly line.

You are scored for how close you are to the length, and also for how neat your drawing is.

The demo was playable a single-player experience, and as a alternating two-player mode. Both were virtually identical.

It made use of the stylus, which is similar to the DS Lite/DSi stylus, but a lot bigger.

I'd rather watch paint dry. I think this is a very uninspired application of the possibilities of tablet gameplay

Strongly reminds me of an old Penny Arcade comic (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2009/01/09/).

This seems like it could be a component of a larger drawing training game.  Maybe a sequel to that DS game about painting apples or whatever.
