Yup. Online only. However it's suppose to be free to play with you being able to buy different things with real money. Not totally sure what the includes though. Could mean maps, weapons, etc

Exactly! What does this tell us about the WiiU online experience? It will be there on day 1! (assuming this is a launch game)

Yes Ghost Recon is a Wuu console exclusive.

But is there Cross platform play?

You will get a very basic character with one weapon and weak ammo.

After you are being outclassed by everyone else with cooler tech and better weapons, you are gonna start upgrading yourself to better enjoy the game.
