It is here that our story unfolds. The luxeriousness of the Monteverde De La Rue is world famous. Visiters from around the world come just to see it's 6 star lobby. Situated in the center of two mountain chains, it is a remote destination in the heart of paradise overlooking the Saint-Saens Valley. It takes a special kind of person to be able to stay at this hotel. But that doesn't mean they are of a higher moral caliber. For right now, at this very moment, special agent Wolf Mendelson has checked in. He's staying here because the case he has been working on has led him here. The Klannikov Cartel has been widening it's reach for some time now. It was known to be active in 3 surrounding countries on the mainland but in the past 10 years, it has seen its sphere of influence increase to encompass the whole continent and is now making gains in the Americas, Asia and even Africa. The head of the Cartel, Alexander Lukas Zenakis, has been named the most wanted man in the world in over 35 countries. Yet, no one knows what he looks like, where he can be found, or who he really is. Efforts to infiltrate cartel have always had limited success. Until now.
Wolf Mendelson has been tracking the Klannikov Cartel for over 8 years. He's made it his goal to track down Alexander Lukas Zenakis and eliminate him. Now, 8 years of dogged never-ending pursuit is about to pay off. Wolf Mendelson has learned that Mr. Zenakis will be at the Hotel Monteverde De La Rue for a week, arriving on May 22, 2011. But this is not for a relaxing getaway. Mr. Zenakis's top three executives of the Cartel will be meeting with him to discuss future strategies for the company. There may never be a better time to really strike out and cripple the Klannikov Cartel than now. For once, Wolf won't be one step behind. This time, he's got the drop on the Cartel and he's going to make it count. The Hotel Monteverde De La Rue is about to experience it's greatest crisis. Will you be there?
The Roles
Townie Roles
NONE!
There are only townies this game
Mafia Roles
The Godfather / Alexander Lukas Zenakis - He decides the hit for the mafia each night. If killed, he chooses his successor.
Mafia Goons 1, 2 and 3 - They are just members of the mafia. They have no other ability unless made godfather.
Other Roles
NONE!
This is a mafia game at its most basic. Except for one thing. Just when Vudu thought we were so close to basic mafia, I have to add one twist.
The Twist
There is one twist to the rules this time around. Normally, each day, every player would vote for the person they would like to see eliminated and believe is guilty. For this game, the day vote will mean something else. Every day, each player votes for the person they want to make the day's executioner. That person will then choose a player to be eliminated. So, you are voting for the person you think is most innocent and/or trust to make the best decision of which player to eliminate.
Of course, you are welcome to post whatever theories/suspicions/advice you want to in order to sway the executioner's hit order. But ultimately, it is up to the Day's Executioner to make whatever choice they want. Of course, they then have to defend that choice. It could be a double edged sword. And you are free to campaign to be chosen as the day's executioner as well. Who knows what other strategy may arise from this new variation.
Quick Announcements:
As for role-playing, you can be whatever you like. You know what the setting is and feel free to run wild with it.
The sign-ups end Sunday May 22nd. The first day will begin that evening along with the roles getting handed out. So, you have until then to check into the Hotel Monteverde. Hope you can make it.

Since it's not starting until next weekend I'm in. I'll be on summer break at that point, so I shouldn't have stuff distracting me from the game like the last couple times. Plus I can't say no to a Khush-hosted game.

Looks a little pricey, but I could use a vacation. And who knows, maybe there will be some cute guys there.
Nice twist, I have a question about it. Can people still vote for themselves?

I think you've known me long enough to know that the U in my username is not capitalized.

Just so everybody knows, I will be away from home helping my sister move home from college Sunday into Monday. I'll have my phone and iPad with me, but I don't know how often I'll be able to be on, so don't bandwagon me the first day because I might not be here to defend myself. After that I'll be fine, and I intend to actually play this time, unlike the last two games I've been in.

Yeah, I must have been still holding the skift key although I don't even need to add the blanks anymore since you have removed those. Force of habit I guess.
