A Wii Rayman Origins box art mock-up has appeared on Amazon.com, strongly suggesting that the platformer will be coming to Nintendo’s home console. Currently, the game that returns to the series' 2D roots has only been announced for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Rayman Origins for Wii is listed as a full retail game on Amazon with a price of $49.99. It has been rumored that Rayman Origins could see release on both 3DS and Wii after a Gamestop release list displayed both games. Rayman Origins was originally planned to be a downloadable title.

Ubisoft’s E3 media briefing on June 6 will likely shed a number of new details about the game. The conference starts at 2:30pm PDT.

It's been quite a while since I've heard anything about this title. I would welcome it coming to the Wii and 3DS.

Oh yeah, I saw the trailer for this. Ever since I played Rayman 2: The Great Escape, I never imagined that's what Rayman and Globox would be like. They were probably a lot older in Rayman 2.

They should throw a rabbid in there somewhere to ensure it gets the casual sale too

It would only make sense that this game came to the Wii, given the popularity of side-scrollers on the platform.

No rabbids allowed in these kind of games. They weren't around back then, and they shouldn't be now. If they just kept making spin off rabbid games, that will be fine. As long as there's no interference with the main Rayman games. ...Despite how different they are from what I remember.
