Title: Xenoblade Chronicles Rated by Australian Classification Board
Post by: Crimm on May 03, 2011, 12:33:15 AM

Nintendo apparently plans to release Monolith Soft's RPG outside of Europe.

The Australian Classification Board has issued a rating for Xenoblade Chronicles, indicating that Nintendo may be planning to release the Wii RPG in the region. The listing states that the board gave the game an M (12+) rating and has Nintendo Australia as the applicant.

Nintendo of Europe announced that they are localizing the game, with intent to release it in September of this year, and are the only western region to officially announce plans to release the game.

The rating by Australian Classification Board comes soon after the personal website of a voice actor attached to the title stated that the game would be released in the U.K., Europe, and the U.S.

With this news, it would a cruel thing if it didn't come to North America.

It would be more cruel (although hilarious) if it didn't come to Australia. "Yeah, we had it rated just to troll you."

With all the recent news about this game's Western release, I went ahead and watched a couple of Japanese trailers for Xenoblade. Best looking game on Wii? Quite possibly. Definitely liking the look of that world (which they encourage you to explore as much as possible - yay) and I reckon I could get along with the battle mechanics. Up my most wanted list it goes.

I want to thank a trailer and every single one of you blabbing on and on and on about this game I had never heard of before to make me want this badly. question though, what makes this game so desirable besides the vast environments.

There is a general dearth of true JRPGs this generation. Due to lack of content each one becomes more desirable.

Makes sense. I am glad to have at least heard of it before hand. Has been many years since I've touched a jrpg, if I have ever really touched a true jrpg.
