Title: Nintendo Releases Trailer and Commercial for Pokémon Typing DS

Nintendo begins promotion for the upcoming Pokémon title.

Pokémon Typing Tutor DS is set to be released in Japan on April 21, and with its release date rapidly approaching, Nintendo has sent out new content to the Wii's Everyone's Nintendo Channel to promote the title. Besides a new trailer for the game, Nintendo has also put a commercial for the game on the service.

This seems like a much more motivational way to learn the art of keyboarding. While most of us on this website would demolish this thing, kids would get a head start in typing more efficiently with it. And I was wondering if there was a keyboard add on, at first I was thinking it was going to use the touch screen, and I was asking myself how was that gonna work. So yes, glad to see this.

now in the ad it shows a DS Lite with something plugged into the bottom, in the trailer it shows a DSi with touch screen keyboard. Really odd.

This seems sort of late to the party.  I could see having fun on this but making an accessory that uses the GBA port is well... Not very good planning considering you have a revisions of the DS that don't have it anymore and the 3DS just came out that ... You guessed it doesn't have it.

It doesn't use the GBA port (notice they're playing on DSi XL?) It uses Bluetooth built into the DS card.


Typing random Pokemon names seems like a terrible way to learn how to type. Hopefully, there is more to it than that.

I'm just curious if you can use this bluetooth keyboard with other devices and if you can use other bluetooth keyboards with this.

Be neat if they'd push a Wii update that would let you use it...

Some interested in rare and hard-ish to find things may want to get this when it first comes out :p

Then again this thing might sell well in Japan, I wouldn't know. As for the US, I don't think so..?
