Title: River City Ransom Confirmed For Wii

The sequel to the NES classic will arrive on the Japanese WiiWare service this summer.

The recently announced sequel River City Ransom has now been confirmed for a WiiWare release. 

Initially announced for the PC and another unspecified console, today the developer Miracle Kidz announced that the unspecified console is in fact the Wii. 

The game will hit the Japanese WiiWare service sometime this summer, much earlier than the PC version which will arrive sometime next year.

Known in Japan as Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari 2, plans for a worldwide release have not announced.

That was to be expected. Their last downloadable game was on XBLIG, the next step up from there is WiiWare. They have no chance in hell to get on XBLA without some serious credentials to their name.
