I'm telling you guys, Nintendo is not making something that uses some non-TV visual display. Nintendo certainly wouldn't make it so the system has to be placed in JUST the right position, and it just doesn't make money sense.
Does it make money sense now? ::loses 3D view on 3DS from moving around too much::
I should probably keep my mouth shut on this rather than fuel the rumor mill ...
I was hearing this SAME rumor for the GameCube back when the first shots of Super Mario Sunshine were coming out (looking like they were made to be 3D). I did some research, and found out that Nintendo had even bought a LARGE amount of 3D glasses from a supplier, roughly enough for the E3 press conference. But it never materialized. I figured the whole thing was just a wild goose chase, but I couldn't wrap my head around why this supplier with nothing to gain would tell me that Nintendo purchased the 3D glasses from them.
Now we know what Nintendo is gonna do with all those glasses. I would point you to the New York 3DS launch where everyone will get a pair of 3D glasses to throw away in celebration of glasses-free 3D, but I don't feel like looking for the thread.

I forgot to mention it and I guess I should now so that the thread title makes sense, but I was looking at the Who's Online and saw that Yahoo was looking at the thread linked above and there were several other interesting thread titles on there being web crawled at the time too.
You guys should pop in the Who's Online once in a while and follow one of those links back to the Forgotten Threads of Yesteryears Past.

I applaud this thread. Mainly because I started one just like it and it got merged into the evil perms horrible post thread.
Teenagers ar e afickle bunch, quite strange. They know not what constitutes adulthood. They bleeive they are adults when they ar einfact not. I remember when I was talkign about Ninja Turtles and how cool i remember them. Well a freind who was a softmore(i was a senior at the time)...he jsut couldnt understand Ninja Turtles. Her thought of them as a childs thing. He also couldnt associate the fact that i was nastalgicizing them and they werent even out still(well they are makign a comeback but thats besides the point) what he didnt understand was that since the generation that grew up with Ninja Turtles is now an adult generation and that Ninja Turtles are actually something adults would could relate to.
So many horrible spelling errors. How did I get out of high school that illiterate? This was in the days I used Internet Explorer. Well before spell-check was built into browsers.

What is even funnier is nobody seems to berate my post for the horror that is. They just move right along.
Remeber what was the deciding factor in the VHS vs Betamax battle?Porn picked VHS! Yes, that was the ONLY reason VHS bacame the standard... did you need another one?
Now Porn sites (one in particular so far) has adapted their site to be Wii friendly
<snip>
and you know what this means...Wii will now be the industry standard and all sensible logic points to this being true.You can't argue the point, because the Porn Industry always backs the winner.
(http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/6364/wiigaldt8.jpg) Now go play with your Wii, you know you want to.
ignore the fact that porn was briefly being distributed on UMD, it was forced by Sony and doesn't count.
Well, that became kinda true....Wii did win, and it's solely thanks to The Porn Industry
