Am I able to contact site contributors through the forum? Or do they not pay attention to their messages here and therefore be ideal to email them?
Or do they have a god status where I cannot talk to them?

Either way works. Some staffers are more receptive than others. I know my forum time got severely limited once my place of employment (remember, we're all volunteers) blocked the NWR forums.

So then would it just be easier for both parties to just email them? It's just that my reason for contacting them is more for asking them questions about what they do at the site and how got to this point in the industry.

Sorry dude. As I said, my forum time is cut down drastically because I can't access it at work. I'm also in 3DS Lala Land right now.
