Pretty sure TJ uses his dupes to counter his smites. I pretty much just do it at random, and I think it's silly that anyone really cares about their score. Frankly I'm disappointed that mine isn't lower. It also just goes to show that some people just applaud someone because they saw that they got a smite, and visa-versa. I think you should actually have to earn your applause/smite. Like you get applause for saving a baby from a burning building, or you get smite for saving a building from a burning baby.

The score is meaningless. I have a higher score than almost everybody else, but that's not the reason I'm better than all of you.

... I just checked the Sales Thread a few seconds ago and did you guys know that Salesbot has been smited 4 times. What possible reason would someone have to do such a thing?

Believe it or not, I haven't Smited you all that much. I think you were around -90-100 before the Sony thread really blew up. You earned most of your score when you told a fellow poster to kill himself, which cause a mod to alter your score accordingly.
As for the new format of the Karma system, it's ok. I'd prefer we didn't have a karma system in general, but this format seems a little better than the one we had since you can see the applauds as well as the smites.
