Do people from Brazil and Portugal have a lot of cross-cultural things like TV, music, and movies because they share the same language? Kind of like the US and Britain?

Yeah we do. very few things, but we do. For example tv soap operas, and football (soccer).

What if I bring back MFT but we kick it off with a special RFN MFT episode where you guys get together and comment on Super Mario The Movie or The Wizard (to keep it Nintendo related) live on teh Interwebz?

This could work/do it. Plenty of other game related movies too.
I know that I would be interested in being a part of MFT if there were more movies like that in the running. I never really got into it when it was alive the last time because either I couldn't get ahold of the movie in time, or they just didn't interest me at the moment.

About Mystery Funhouse Theater: All the movies in the poll were Funhouse suggested (I only suggested about 2 or 3 movies and voted only when necessary as not to influence the poll in anyway unless it was a tie) Movies were watched on from Wednesday to Wed. Movies were voted on from Sunday to Sun. (That gives you 3-4 days to locate a copy, which I tried to make that easy by telling you were I found the movie streaming online in every movies title page, and another 7 days to find time to watch it.)
Not to mention that I only let internet streamable movies into the poll so that no one would have to actually track down a physical copy as long as they had high speed internet. So if people are actually interested in bringing it back and the RFN crew is interested in kicking it off then lets get this started (sometime soon).
We should just listen to old editions of RFN and comment on that.
This could be fun!
Edit: I guess we could also troll the podcast sub-forum sometimes...

At this time, I'd like to resubmit my proposal for a rule banning staff members from the Funhouse. Crimm likes to pretend he's one of us, but then he goes and turns into The Man.

Maybe we should start a sort of "Dinner for Shmucks" program and everyone has to bring a "friend" to the Funhouse, and whoever's "friend" sticks around the longest or provides the most entertainment for the group wins.
