Title: What Nintendo franchise do you want most on 3DS?

I really want a new Smash Bros on 3DS. The system has everything capable of making a fantastic addition to the series and we would get a new smash bros about 3 years before the next gen one appears on the next Nintendo console.
My other most wanted franchise would be F-Zero. That would be soooo clutch on the 3DS and I would prefer a new entry to the series on the handheld than on wii (no chance for shoe horned waggle).
What say you community?

The ones I want most have already been announced (Paper Mario and Mario Kart). Among the ones that haven't been announced though, I would say Metroid. Smash Bros. would be great too.

Would Last Story count? I would not mind seeing a Xenoblade sequel for the 3DS. Through in a sequel to Other M and Galaxy 3 and I will be set as far as games go for the 3DS.
Can non-Nintendo franchises be included?

Hands down it would be Metroid. I've wanted a new game (2D) for ages! And a Mother game! But that'll never happen.... I would like a sequel to The World Ends With You, though it isn't a Nintendo property.

I can't believe I forgot Metroid. I would take a remake of Super Metroid, or a sequel to Metroid Other M (speaking of which, I wish they released that on 3DS rather than on wii. It's absolutely made for 3D!) Ooh! And a new Wave Race! (I think racers will become newly appreciated on the 3DS due to the effect it brings to the sport on handhelds)
As far as non-Nintendo games go, I would love to see a new Breath of Fire game, Ogre Battle, and a port of Odama on Gamecube (weird pinball/strategy game that used an included microphone peripheral) as well as a new Burnout (or just port of Paradise, I'd be just as happy).

No, please no on Other M. I don't want anything involving that game to be used again. The controls were OK, but that's about it. And Nintendo better keep Sakamoto away from the next game. I would like to see a new Advance Wars game, I loved the first GBA game and the first DS game (the only ones I have played in the series).
Odama is a Nintendo IP, BTW.

Huh, never knew that. Well it's a game that needs to be experienced by others with a more capable and convenient system!
Also, I came to post that Pac Man CE:DX would be absolutely godly on the 3DS! Not so much because of the 3D (though that would be cool) but because of the quick bursty play nature of the game and the leaderboard/highscore aspect of the online....portably!

Add in a new Tactics Ogre game then maybe No More Heroes. Also, I want a built from the ground up Dead Space game and possibly a Mass Effect and Dragon Age if 3G is ever added to a future 3DS redesign. I want bigger and badder franchise for the 3DS that blur the line between console and handheld.
Toss in Gears of War because a 3D steroscopic chainsaw duel would be too damn cool to miss.

A sequel to Super Mario World would also do the trick.

If those games were to be released on the 3DS and they were successful then it would solidify the 3DS as a harcore gaming console and might give it an edge on the PSP 2.

What I meant was that hardcore franchises will appear more often on the PSP2 because it is the light version of a hardcore HD home console.
There won't be a PSP2. The next Sony portable will be called NGP.

The very generic codename is "Next Generation Portable". I really hope Sony doesn't keep the name.
Of those, the only one I know has a good chance of appearing is Call of Duty since the DS got several COD games.

2D Metroid by WayForward Technologies. Partly because they're an awesome development team that could do even greater things with a budget larger than whatever is in John Beck and Matt Bozon's pockets at the time and a strong IP like Metroid.... but also because I want Metroid far away from Sakamoto. Won't happen but a girl can dream....

Of course with both there are HUGE caveats here. Metroid has to play like Metroid with non-linear open world gameplay. I want Metroid for people who like Metroid not closed minded FPS fans or Japanese gamers with poor tastes. Zelda has to have GOOD CONTROLS. Use the fucking d-pad and the buttons and keep that stupid stylus out of it.
The problem is I would love to see 2D sprites but that doesn't really lend itself to well to 3D. So, **** it, make these sprite based WiiWare games instead.

At least with the 3DS, the "nice" screen is the one you can't poke at. So touchscreen controls wouldn't really make sense.
But it's also a 3D screen, so of course it means the game has to be in 3D (not really, but that will probably be the argument in most cases).
Still, for the 2D Zelda games the camera is overhead so there's actually a lot of perspective that might work on a 3D screen.

I would LOVE to see a Custom Robo on 3DS. I loved the GameCube version even with the story so long we actually let you save the game in the middle of it incase you got bored feature.

I remember the Wario Land games were awesome on the Gameboy back in the day. There was even a version of Wario Land for the Virtual Boy, so a 3D Wario game on a portable is actually not without precedent. It should come to the 3DS...

The others are the usual suspects have already been announced or have already mentioned by others: Paper Mario, Pikimin, Smash Bros, Zelda.

I would have an absolute joy induced aneurysm if Vanillaware re-released Muruamasa and Odin Sphere for the 3DS.
And I second that they should release a Picross 3DS, but as a downloadable title only. That game not only begs to be played in 3D, but it's also one of those games that I wished were on my system dash permanently instead of in constant rotation with other cartridge based games in my active play library...

I was going to make a list of every Nintendo franchise not yet represented by a 3DS release, but what I really one is a new F-Zero game. Also, a new Wave Race would be pretty fitting. Both would look awesome in 3D. I'm hoping to see ports of Wii games, and by that I mean DKCR. A man can dream, right?

I must concur with Tenser. StarTropics. For 3DS. I would freak out like I did when I heard about the Cave Story remake. Also, WayForward making a 2D Metroid game... awesome idea, but it's never going to happen. A Shantae 3DS game, though, would be heaven on a freaking stick. Not a normal stick. A freaking stick. I'm craving a 3D Child of Eden. Or Rez. Or something similar to those. That would be awesome.

Right now, Metroid (NOT Prime), Pikmin and (especially) F-Zero. All preferably developed inhouse.
F-Zero seems like such a no brainer, I'm sad it's not there at launch. I'd even take a N64 remake at this point.

Wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to RS, though I hope they take events from after the movies. If you read any of the novels you'll know what I mean.
I want all the sequels that made the orginal GBA great. More Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, and damnit Final Fantasy Tatics. Or course I'm dying for a Mario and Luigi sequel. The last one Bowser's Inside Story was epic, puts Paper Mario to shame.

Like many of you I would like to see a Smash Bros on the DS, I think its going to happen sooner or later! Maybe this time we will see an actual Capcom character in it.
He has also recently spoken to Official Nintendo Magazine (http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/25180/news/which-street-fighter-character-would-ono-like-to-appear-in-smash-bros/) about what Capcom characters he would like to see in the Smash Bros. series. He claimed that he'd like to see M. Bison in the franchise "because I would like that mega villain to fall upon those Nintendo characters and cause complete chaos. That would be fun."
Additionally he would like to see Capcom's Mega Man in the series. Mr. Ono claims: "Mega Man really fits in that whole world. He has a high affinity with the Smash Bros. world."

I would love to see more Advanced Wars. I know the top screen will be just full of graphical fluff, but it will be 3D fluff. Also with all that extra RAM, you can have maps of epic sizes that have battles rage across it on more multiple fronts.
Battalion Wars would be sweet too.
Edit: Why do I bother mentioning those, you know Nintendo will make them. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequal to Warship Gunner 2. It's a silly naval equivalent of Dynasty Warriors where you take your pimped out ship and blow a lot of stuff up.

While I'd love to see a smash brothers. I do go through loads of controllers in my time with the game (My friends and I once recorded our all-time stats in a semester... I spent over a week in actual match time!). It would amazing if they allowed for some connectivity with wii remotes and gamecube controllers... just imagine being able to use motion or an elite controller on 3DS games!
I think no one's mentioned this and I think the 3DS is perfect for a reboot of this series: Meganman Battle Network. With spot and street pass, you can easily make hotspots places for megaman (or your own custom navi) to jack into! I'd prefer it be like the anime where the navis were AI and the battler was in charge of uploading chips. It'd be like Digimon World on the PSone where you just gave generic tactic commands to your digimon. Here, you'd do the same as well as uploading battle chips. With streetpass, you could have battles like SSF IV. Not to mention the personal assistant aspect of the net navi as well. Imagine a new home screen that was themed to your navi. That would be just too insanely awesome.
Monster Hunter would be another excellent franchise for the system. Just feeds off multiplayer well

Actually, this is seeming pretty likely, with Blazblue and DOA and SSF4 already on the 3DS, looks like fighting games may be to the 3DS what JRPG's were to the DS.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the circle pad. With the flat plane of movement (rather than the concave plane of movement of Dual Shock/360/Classic analog sticks), it seems to mimic fighting game joysticks almost perfectly. Been able to consistently pull off quarter, half, and even full circle special moves in SSF4, and I usually suck at fighting games.

A side scrolling Metroid game with 3D boss fights (I mean free roaming 3D space). I would like it to be made in house though. A talented team could really utilize the 3D visuals to do some pretty neat cinematic stuff.

I just finished collecting all the puzzle pieces for the Metroid: Other M diorama on Puzzle Swap (one of the Mii Plaza Streetpass games) and I gotta tell ya, seeing the Samus model used for Other M on the 3DS screen makes me think that maybe they should have released it on the handheld.
I think the game would have looked incredible in 3D with the way the maps were created and the art design. The first person/third person mechanic could have still remained in the game, but executed a lot smoothly due to not having to switch the physical device around each time. Having a second screen to keep the map displayed would have been handy (better yet, when it was time to look in first person to just have that switch to the lower screen since you'll using it to aim and shoot anyway). Finally, this would have definitely been a killer app for many people to pick up a 3DS day one.
As divisive as this entry into the series is, I think it would have been received better (and some of the shenanigans it pulls tolerated somewhat more) if it launched as a 3DS title. Thoughts?
