Why don't I see YOUR name on the list?
I haven't hooked up my "new" black wii yet, so I don't have a console number at the moment. I'd post the original White Wii's number, but I'm giving that to my nephew and it's already loaded up with games.
If I get around to it, I'll add the new console number. If not, I don't mind just playing host.
Any suggestions for when we should all try exchanging gifts? All our blue lights going off on the same day is much more fun than being scattered over the course of a week, IMO.

You could always just list everything you have, some genre preferences, and let yourself be surprised...

Correct. I'll post my friend code up tomorrow at some point, and send PM's out to all the participates with the person they'll be gifting. In the mean time, everyone here should be adding everyones friend codes, or making sure you have everyones most up to date friend codes. If you've done that, go ahead and post some sort of wishlist or give some sort of insight as to what kind of games you enjoy playing, so that you don't end up receiving "My Aquarium" or something.

When I got my new Wii and recovered my VC/WiiWare games, I also got a few WiiWare games that the person who had my old Wii had bought. One of those "games" was My Aquarium and I am just glad that I didn't buy that interactive screensaver.

I just suggested the 25th because I figure everyone will be off work, and I didn't think people would spend all day with their families. But I guess some people like to travel so they may not be home for a couple days.
I can't promise I can do the 23rd but I'll try my best.
I like that the game is called Fireplacing for some reason (instead of Fireplace).
If I had to guess, I would say "Fireplacing" is easier to copyright than "Fireplace."
The game is out in Europe now and it joins the many "My..." games as it is called My Fireplace there.

I should probably lead by example then.. Instead of a wishlist of games, I'd like to say two things:
1. Remember, the FC I posted is for a new console, and I don't have any of the games I've purchased or were gifted to me from the previous years.
2. With that said, I'd like to be surprised. A lot of the games I had purchased/requested in the past were games I owned or at least played growing up, such as SMB3 or Castlevania, etc. There are a ton of games I missed out on when I was younger, games outside of classic Nintendo staples such as Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong etc.
It's not just Nintendo games I missed out on, as I never owned a Genesis, etc (though I did play Genesis often enough at families house to be familiar with some of those classics). So, if I had to suggest anything for my Secret Santa, it'd be to surprise me with a new experience wrapped up in an old package.
edit: Oh, and I don't follow the Wiiware service at all, for the record. I've only ever owned World of Goo, Mega Man 9 and Midnight Pool from that service, and the last demo I can remember checking out was for one of those early bit.trip games. If you feel like providing me a new experience, in NEW packaging, then I might as well mention here that I like action/adventure games and puzzles, and that I dislike sports games. RPG and racing games are about 50/50.

I disagree with this sentiment, but I understand where it comes from. Doom on the Super NES is sub-par compared to the PC version, but it opens the game up to a different audience. I've played the game a lot more on SNES than PC just because it's so much easier to do so. Well, released as the intended PC experience, a Wiiware release would be subpar. I agree that the game could be retooled to fit the limitations, but I imagine that the changes lie outside the scope of vision the creators have. It was always designed to be a WiiWare game, they admitted though that they just ignored the 40MB cap size because they assumed that they would be able to get Nintendo to allow them to go above the limit.

Names are all grey for me still. I think the recent power outages may have caused some connection issues. I reset my router and confirmed all the friend codes. Some were wrong because I forgot some of you had new Wiis.

One thing I liked about this secrect santa deal is that I got to see everyone's Mii and I could get an idea of what they look like. I had the same ordeal with the RFN crew until we saw them in videos, so this year has been good.
