Nintendo and The Pokemon Company International are giving fans the opportunity to download Mew, the 151st Pokemon, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pokemon Gold and Silver.
To get Mew, you need to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and download the Pokemon using the Mystery Gift option. The Mew you will receive starts at level five with one move, Pound. He also comes in a Cherish Ball and has a Premier Ribbon.
The Pokemon will be available for download from October 15 to October 30.
Mew was last available in the United States in 2006 at Toys 'R' Us. Japan received a similar Mew in 2009 to mark their 10th anniversary of Gold and Silver.
Guys it isn't like this will be the last pokemon given over Wi-Fi for Heart Gold and Soul Silver.I'm sure Celebi will be given out at some point.
I only had Mew a few times back in Blue and Red. There was a glitch you could do to get one ingame.
I did manage to get a legit Mew through a online trade in Diamond (the person I got it from had a legit Mew and used the Emerald cloning trick to make copies of all the legendary Pokemon he had and traded them).
If the guy you got it from cloned his legit Mew and sent you the clone how is your Mew legit?Well Nintendo has been passing off Mewtwo as a clone and he's pretty legit, right?
[/size]I can still remember completing my pokedex while trading at a friend's house and feeling like someone had destroyed a part of my soul when Professor oak didn't give me a Mew for my troubles.
