Cammie Dunaway, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America, will be leaving the company for a new role on October 1. The new position will be outside of the games industry, but specific details were not given.
"We appreciate Cammie’s contributions to Nintendo and the role she played in bringing the Wii and Nintendo DS experiences to millions of people," said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America president and chief operating officer.
Dunaway joined Nintendo three years ago to replace Fils-Aime after he was promoted to his current role. She is known for her enthusiasm and sunny demeanor from her presentation of Nintendo's E3 press conferences.
Former Nintendo executive Cammie Dunaway will lead the U.S. operations of KidZania as it creates “kid-sized cities” for children in shopping malls. KidZania is creating places for kids to learn about real-life jobs and entertain themselves in mini cities within shopping malls.
She left Nintendo for that? I hope she's successful anyway.
Nah, she's too nice for that.
