As the title implies, the sequel will feature cats as well as various breeds of dogs. Like in the original title, you can keep up to three pets at a time. Using the 3D technology, players can interact with their pets in a unique manner. The 3DS cameras allow it so that your cat or dog can recognize your face and interact with it, even licking your face if you move in closer. Playing Frisbee and ball with your dog is aided by the added dimension, creating a compelling effect. You can take your dog on a walk like in the previous title, and it will feature an enhanced version of the bark mode thanks to the 3DS's updated wireless communication abilities. Finally, the graphics have been improved, with the dogs looking more realistically thanks to the fur shading used.
A date for Nintendogs + Cats wasnt given, but it is expected to be released at or near the 3DS's launch.
