45,600 attendees came to the show from around the world, which is right in line with the ESA's 45,000-attendee estimate. There were roughly 300 exhibitors in the Los Angeles Convention Center, and retail participation in the show was up 20 percent.
The dates for E3 2011 were also released, with the show once again taking place in Los Angeles from June 7 to June 9, 2011.
That's way too many people in one place. Maybe it is a good thing I couldn't go.Does that mean if I get to go next year, I shouldn't invite you as my +1?

Those 70K+ crowds are the exact reason the ESA shrunk E3 down, it had gotten so bad that you could basically get a E3 pass just by working at GameStop. The whole point of E3 is to show journalists (real journalists, not bloggers) and retailers what games that the companies are working on, it's not a gaming convention for fanboys to spend 3 days goofing off and getting free swag and ogle booth babes.
It caused a huge logjam at that corner all week.
