Title: DSi and DLC - no?
Post by: UncleBob on June 11, 2010, 12:18:28 AM
Interesting comment from our friends at A Different Game in regards to their upcoming, soon-to-be Mega-Hit Ghostwire...

Nope, Ghostwire won't have DLC on the DSi - it's a   platform restriction

I wonder if this is a technical restriction or a Nintendo restriction...

I forget, does the DSi have internal storage? If it does, it is a Nintendo restriction. If not, it could be a technical restriction.

It does, but I've not seen any evidence that DS games can recognize or use the internal storage in any way...

Nobody bothered to complain to Ninty that the SD card holder on the DSi could, you know, have the same option of playing games off the card. NEVER HAPPENED.

I complained about that pretty early on.  It's virtually the same system that the Wii used to have for external storage. :(

In that case, I'd assume it is a technical issue unless we hear otherwise.
