Title: Earth Seeker - A new action game with Planet of the Ape vibes
Post by: Stratos on June 02, 2010, 04:38:09 AM
An action game being made by Crafts & Meister. Due out this Winter. I can't find any other games that this company has made.

Looks promising from the artwork. I like the post-apocalypse/planet of the apes theme. Takes place 1000 years after humanity is destroyed.

Very interesting look for the game. Looks a bit like it has a hand drawn look to it.

Well, it is concept artwork so it makes sense that it looks that way.

Though that shot with the head of the Statue of Liberty makes me think Survival Kids/Lost in Blue on the GBA/DS. Something like that with a battle element and either 2D sprites or cel-shaded looks would be awesome.

Oh cool. I like that picture on the top right corner with the underground faming and houses(?).

C&M are a small team of ex-Capcom guys, mostly people who'd worked on Street Fighter games.   Their last game was the most recent FullMetal Alchemist fighter on PSP for Bandai.

I'm getting a real Little King's Story vibe from this.

Hopefully it will be just as good (and have pointer controls as well).

So you play as the little goblin dudes? Looks pretty, if nothing else.

I'm not so sure you play as the goblins. Look in the first picture. There is a little human figure with a sword. I'm wondering if humanity really wasn't destroyed.

There's more write ups on 1up and Andriasang.  From the sounds of it, and the developer it's coming from, I think this is going to be a Monster Hunter clone...

Judging by the way it was revealed, there won't be any new info or media released for it until next E3.

Clearly, we see it was meant to be forgotten and sent to die.

That what stealth announcements are for....

It's releasing this year in Japan.  That probably means a TGS rollout.

Also Enterbrain (ie: Famitsu) is actually producing it, so expect high scores and lots of whoring/coverage.

If it resolves the issues in Monster Hunter I would be down with another. Needs to have WiiSpeak/Keyboard support though for multiplayer.

I can sorta see where you're coming from, but I'm not completely feeling it like I did with LKS' reveal.
