The ESRB describes Zenonia as follows: This is an action role-playing game (RPG) in which players assume the role of Regret, an orphaned child found on the battlefield, who sets out on a quest to solve the mystery of his adoptive fathers murder. Using a top-down perspective, players engage in quests to battle monsters while exploring dungeons, caves, and colorful forests. Players mostly use sword slashes to defeat undead soldiers, slime creatures, and flying dragon warriors. Players may also unleash magic attacks to attack the enemies, which disappear in a colored puff when defeated.
