I might not have if you hadn't said something!  Video games have taught me to always disobey warnings like that.

Hunger for lunch is the only thing that pulled me free.

Interestingly, this is the first time I have ever played Pac-Man in my life.

Even more interesting, once was enough.

There was a Namco Museum, which I'd assume contains some version of Pac Man.

There is. Just because I own something doesn't mean I've played it.

Does anyone know of a site or anything that saved the Pac-Man game from Google? I saw it yesterday morning but didn't realize it was playable, so I wanna give it a try.

I can't believe Mop has never played PacMan Vs.  And she calls herself a Nintendo fan.  It had an entire E3 dedicated to it!

I love that game.

I love that game.

Me too. Great for parties. I thought a sequel was planned for WiiWare or something?

There was a DS version in one of the Namco collections.

Yeah, I got it on the DS.  Works great, since you only need one copy of the game.  A little easier to organize. :)

Pac-Man was released before I was even born, much less before I had any real interest in videogames. Even now, I don't much care for arcade games, or have much interest in retro games in general.

Pac-Man Vs. requires too much hardware, I highly doubt very many people own it.

i used to play the **** out of pacman and centepede when I was at the dentist, i remember I used to play Arkanoid when we used to go to the laundromat.

I think Mop_it_up just sucks at Pac-Man, its a game of strategy. Don't just grab every big dot, wait in the corner for the ghosts to come and then grab the dot!

Dont tell me you hate Donkey Kong too?

A GameCube and a GBA is too much hardware?  You could make the claim for Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, but not Pac-Man Vs., assuming you play regular multiplayer games.  The game came for free with a number of other games.

Yeah, the "Too much hardware" requirement never sat well with with me in regards to Pac-Man Vs.  I can't imagine there were many people with a GameCube that didn't easily have access to a GameBoy Advance of some type.  And the GBA/GCN link cables were so abundant - I've got five and only bought one (Before they were in stores, I ordered one from NoA for Sonic).  Got the other four free with various games (FF:CC, Four Swords Adventures, Pokémon Colosseum and my imported Four Swords Plus...).

Didn't you have to have 3 GBAs and 3 GCN to GBA link cables to get the most out of the experence? I think Pacman used the TV and Gamecube controller and the ghosts have a certain part of the screen using the GBAs.

It was the first time I played so of course I wasn't very good. I did beat it, though.

It's okay. I played it only in Donkey Kong 64. I was able to get the coin that you get for reaching a certain level.

You don't need a GBA per player? Regardless, I didn't have a GBA > GCN link cable. I don't know what games it came with, probably not anything I was interested in.

I GBA and three regular GCN controllers.  You hot-swap the GBA around as needed.

So what did the player with the GBA control?

So what did the player with the GBA control?
Pac-Man, who is the only one who can see the whole field.  The ghosts have a limited field on view on the main screen (purposely, to make it harder to find Pac-Man, and when they get fruit instead of Pac-Man, the field is extended).

Which games was Pac-Man Vs. included with? I think it was a pack-in with the GameCube at one point, but I don't recall which games.

Pac-Man World 2 and some game with a Ninja, maybe?

Pac-Man World 2, i-Ninja, R: Racing Evolution, and some stores gave it away without any other game.  Somehow, I ended up with 5 of those GC-GBA cables... they really tried to push connectivity for a while.  Pac-Man Vs. was easily one of the best uses of it that didn't require a ridiculous amount of hardware.
