Title: Wii Sports Resort Tops 14 Million Copies Sold

Along with this reached milestone, Nintendo's Wii now has 79 million-seller games.

 Regardless of the sales drop that occurred for both the Wii and DS this year, Nintendo's Wii console now has 79 million sellers on the platform. Including third party titles, the sales figure grew from the last fiscal year (which was 54 million sellers).    


Wii Sports Resort was the year's biggest seller, with 16.14 million copies sold worldwide. The title has been in the NPD top ten since its July 2009 release, and was the second best selling title in 2009. Wii Fit Plus was another best selling title with 12.65 million copies sold worldwide. New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold 14.6 million copies worldwide.    


On the DS, Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver was the best seller with 8.4 million copies sold.

Motion Plus to be the most successful add on hardware ever?
It has joined the race for second & 3rd most successful console related hardware of the gen accompanied by the PS3, Xbox360 and Balance Board.

Maybe you should start playing some Wii Fit Plus, a little EA Active and Your Shape.

The tennis games, Virtua Tennis and Grand Slam Tennis, support 4 for a doubles match. I don't think anything else uses more than two.

Well deserved.  I got this game as a gift a couple weeks ago, and while I don't care for about half the mini-games there's something in there for everyone and it's genuinely fun in that way I never found the original Wii Sports.  Plus, it's in the best interests of everyone that the Motion + has as high a market penetration as possible, because as far as I'm concerned this should be used in every Wii title from here on out.

I'm still waiting for WiiSports Boxing+ or Fight Night Round ThWii
Dual Wiimote wielding boxing action at it's best.

But it likely wouldn't be thought of by EA until they can also do it for Move. Not sure why Nintendo didn't include it in WiiSports Resort.

Yup, got that piece of crap too........ kids n wife love it though....... gotta make sacrifices.

I have three, one from WSR, one with a black Wiimote (wanted to have two for multiplayer) and a third when a store had a special offer on Red Steel 2 with the WMP but not the one without.

I have only one Wii Motion Plus that I got with a black Wii Remote, and no games, but I'm sure to get more. I'm not really all that interested in Wii Sports Resort since it doesn't seem to have as much of a focus on multiplayer as the first game, so I'll get it when it is on sale or something. Same with the pink Wii Remote.

I have three; one from Tiger Woods 10, one from Wii Sports Resort, and a black one that I had to import from Japan to match the black remote I had imported from Japan.
