Title: Crazy things you have done while playing games
Post by: BeautifulShy on April 22, 2010, 08:46:51 PM
So I was just watching a video of someone using the DDR Mario Mix dance pad while playing the VC version of Castlevania. http://youtube.com/watch?v=yUDQcupSb4s
It is pretty wild. Has anybody here has done anything wild and crazy while playing games?

I played 2 player mario kart 64 battle mode by myself. 1 controller in the hands on one with the feet.
oooohhh, who won?

The hands of course. It wasn't the most professional game. It's rather difficult trying to think for 2 people simultaneously and then controlling thusly.

Goro would have no problem in the situation

Sure about that? Goro brain small!
I've done the hands and feet gameplay before, just not sure if it was mario kart or not (though it probably was). I've tried whacky things like that since the SNES actually.
More recently, and this was a few years back now... I was at gamestop with a friend and they had some demo set up.. I believe it was a fighting game.. and we tried to play it. Of course, becausse store planners there were idiots they had both GC and PS2 demo stations a foot apart from eachother. This meant that whoever was player 2 for whatever PS2 game was on was in the way of Player 1 for the GC.
Well on this particular day the PS2 player happened to be afat ****. I tried to squeeze in to play but my friend didn't feel the need to move and gimme some space (god forbid he's uncomfortable) so basically; I leaned in with my left arm outstreched in the most awkward position possible so I wasn't rubbing up against either dude, stretched my pinky out to use the control stick and my thumb was mnashing buttons.
Guess who one; I'll give you a hint - ME
If it were the other way around I woulda made jokes about how he's a pro at playing with one hand, etc, but he's not that bright.

I remember playing Super Mario Kart so that the SNES controller was not the right way. The D-pad was on the right side and the buttons were on the left side. So when you used the D-pad the controls were switched around. Just like in Windwaker when a poe touches you. Your controls are reversed.

In order to beat the final boss in BG&E, I actually turned the controller upside-down during the final sequence.

I could only enter the debug mode code for Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire by moving the N64's analog stick with my nose. Does that count?

speaking of shadows of the empire
i had a gameshark pro, and gameshark pro had a hex editor for whatever reason
anyhow one time i was going through with the hex editor on Shadows of the Empire and there was a hidden message that said
"if you are reading this you need to get a life, get a life, get a life, get a life"

you mean you held it upside down..? I've done that before.
I've also used the dual controller mode in Goldeneye007 ;)

Yeah that is what I mean. I haven't really played much of Goldeneye 007 but it was enjoyable.
