Today, Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Monster Battle Road   Victory, an adaptation of their popular arcade game. The Wii   version supports multiplayer battles with up to four players and online   card fights over Nintendo Wi-Fi. Players can use a nunchuck/remote or   classic controller configurations.

Dragon Quest Monster Battle Road Victory is due in stores   this summer. A DSiWare utility called a “color code scanner” is also   planned. This app allows players to scan physical cards, used for the   arcade game, with their Nintendo DSi and transfer them into the Wii   game.

video of the arcade version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3mLcd7WPVg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3mLcd7WPVg) (low quality)

and it's sequel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-YYvlAFAu4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-YYvlAFAu4)  <--Watch this one!!
(Does Pokemon Stadium look this BAD ASS?)

I haven't played a DQ game since the NES, and this game isn't likely to leave Japan, but if DQX for Wii has battle scenes that look anything like the arcade sequel, I would buy on Day 1.

Just check out some of these Special Attacks from the arcade sequel (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=20761480&postcount=35)

So do you guys think the existence of this game supports DQX for Wii
or do you think this game is a replacement for DQX which will probably show up on 3DS now?

You are right. That was an incredibly rude thing to say that totally ignored the effort BnM put into bringing this post to us here. I sincerely apologize.

Ahem, if I can interrupt the infighting for one minute, I think the guy on the right looks like a combination of Vega and Blanka amirite?

Past holders of the position have included S-U-P-E-R and Crimm.  I just can't compete with that.  Pale's been doing a pretty good job of holding his own lately.
