Hudson is bringing Deca Sports 3 to Wii this fall with Wii MotionPlus support.

The fourth entry in the series (including last month's DS entry) will bring 10 new sporting events to the series and have an online multiplayer mode and a team editor.

Also, it will support Wii MotionPlus, a series first. Each event will feature two different control schemes – one that supports MotionPlus, and one that doesn't.

San Mateo, Calif. – April 9, 2010 – The hit DECA SPORTS franchise is back with DECA SPORTS 3 to stir up new fun on Wii™ in Fall 2010.  Published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American subsidiary of HUDSON SOFT, DECA SPORTS 3 will introduce 10 completely new sporting events, with support for the Wii MotionPlus™ accessory.

"We're creating another game that's fun for the whole family," said Mike Pepe, Director of Marketing at Hudson Entertainment.  "Players who love a variety of sports will be amazed by what's included this time around, from lacrosse to logging, as well as online multiplayer, a team editor, and Wii MotionPlus support."

Hudson is doing a nice job of packing more and better features into each game. Unfortunately, it seems the overall gameplay quality has been low in the first two games. Seems unlikely the third one will do much better on a short development schedule and with lots of additional effort required for dual-mode controls.

Deca Sports games seem to be on the higher end of the crap mini-game scale. Having played some of DS 2 and DS DS (lol), I can say that they're fun, but nothing great. They reek of the kind of game that would be a blast with friends who all play it.

Lacrosse and Racquetball could be really cool if they get them right, but I'll reserve judgement for E3 or whenever I get to check it out.
