Title: Anybody here play World of Warcraft?
Post by: Spinnzilla on April 01, 2010, 01:33:30 AM
After a year of trying not to play the game (my brother plays it a lot), I caved. Very addicting. Still just with my first character; a level 67 undead warlock. Anybody else play? If you play on the Draka server let me know.

I don't get what's so addictive about MMOs.
Oh boy, I can waste hours of my life repetitively mashing buttons so I can get the same set of armor as half the people my level. Oh yeah, and not to mention the hours wasted mashing buttons just so you can GET to that meaningless level.
And in the particular case of WoW, none of it even matters in-game because the whole game is stupid kinds of easy.

I think that can be said about quite a few games, Call of Duty comes to mind in particular. I like it because of the social aspect, kind of like xbox live. It's really easy to communicate with other players and it's fun to play in groups. But to each his own.

I'm not sure why you play video games at all. I think you just described all of them.

I play from time to time but I just can't find the motivation lately
I liked TBC way better than Lich King...

I play Horde on Destromath. Started in January and I'm really enjoying it. Very polished, and the PvE is very dynamic and fast-paced. I'm a level 37 Paladin, Retribution-specced. I would roll Prot/Holy but I don't know the dungeons well enough to tank reliably at the moment.

Just hit 70.

I have to agree. Northerend isn't really that exciting, aside from the mind numbingly easy quest at first that make you level like crazy. At least it looks like cataclysm will stir things up again.

The greens in Northrend are way better than blues elsewhere, right? That's what I hear.

I've only been able to play in northrend for a little while, but that's how it seems so far.

I mostly played alone with no server and with no other person. I complete many a games and really love playing games. I spend days behind just one stage to complete in some games. I have heard about WOW but still playing some other games.

Except the ones that are, you know, good.

Mashing buttons is better than waving your hands around in the air, yeah?
Speaking of, I always lamented the fact I couldn't play WoW with my tablet and stylus, it would have reduced a lot of the stress from using a mouse...
