Title: Rage of the Gladiator WiiWare Questions for Developer Q&A
Post by: NWR_Neal on March 03, 2010, 06:59:07 PM
Hey everybody! We got another interview opportunity with Ghostfire Games, who are making Rage of the Gladiator for WiiWare. You can check out the preview I just posted about the game (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/previewArt.cfm?artid=22683) to find out what it is about. Apparently it's a "fantasy-based Punch-Out" and seems like Tournament of Legends in an alternate universe where it uses MotionPlus.
They also made Helix, which Nick wrote a good review about. (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/reviewArt.cfm?artid=16635)
The interview will (hopefully) go up around the time when the game comes out on March 15.
The cut-off date for questions to be submitted with be Monday March 8

When did you start the development for this game?
Did HVS's Gladiator A.D. have any influence at all as to what your game would ultimately end up as?
Was there any concern when HVS revealed the direction change of Gladiator A.D. (to now be call Tournament of Legends) to be more like the game you were already making?
Is there any hope for an online multi-player mode?
Were you able to get everything into the game that you were originally hoping to? -If not, what where you unable to include that you would like to see in a possible sequel?
What price are you expecting to see set for this game?
How satisfied were you with the performance of your last game Helix on the WiiWare service? -Would you agree with the billing of "Dance Dance Revolution for your arms"?
No that RoG is being released, what's next in for Ghostwire games? -Is it another WiiWare project?

Thank you for the cut off date Neal.;)
Hmm questions...
Does this use Motion+ and what way does it use the tool?
What are all of the fighters in the game and how do they differ in fight styles?

what are the challenges of making a first person fighting game versus a traditional third person fighting game? Is Rage of the Gladiator's roots closer to Doom or Street Fighter?

Can you describe how Motion Plus is utilized to execute the moves in the game(is it 1:1 or slightly more than gesture based)?
