The content, which will be released this April, is to feature "Bass Mode", which presumably allows the player to play as Bass, Mega Man's rival. Bass Mode will cost 200 Wii Points ($2) and will be released on April 5.
There will be three additional stages for download at the cost of 100 Wii points ($1) apiece. The first of these stages will be available on April 5, and the second and third will be available April 26.
The last piece of downloadable content is an "Endless Attack" mode, which will also be released on April 26 for 300 Wii Points ($3). This will presumably be similar to the Endless Attack mode from Mega Man 9, which was a never-ending stage with online leaderboards.
The downloadable content will cost 800 Wii Points ($8) altogether, making for a total purchase price of 1800 Wii Points ($18) if one wants the complete Mega Man 10 package.
As far as I've read, the secret character is unlockable in the core game, apparently gameshark style codes unlock him. Which means alternatively, sending 200 Wii points unlocks him in the same manner. Which is sad, because it means we'd be paying $2 worth of points for something Capcom already sent in the game.
I refuse to get this DLC out of principle, since I don't want to support such a devious money grub. Though I must say that the DLC isn't quite as lame as it was in MM9, and I'm glad that most of the DLC in MM9 is now included in the main game this time around.
No details on what the stages are?Probably (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=30759.msg590412#msg590412)
I've noticed that there are three more slots for weapons on the pause screen, so I wonder if you can get something from those three stages.
We all knew it was Bass, didn't we? Besides, I thought the "secret character" was an unlockable in the core game, so I thought it was Roll. I didn't think the secret character would be DLC.
