Title: Super Meat Boy Direct-Feed Footage

Meat + buzzsaw = messy.

 NWR had some hands-on time with Super Meat Boy at Nintendo's Media Summit, and we managed to snag some direct feed footage.    


In this first video, we take a look at the game's unique platforming.  Wow, that meat really splatters when it hits a buzzsaw.    



   


This second video shows some later levels, in which Meat Boy is engulfed in shadows.  Scary!    


   


Super Meat Boy is coming soon to WiiWare.

Super Meat Boy looks cool in a lot of ways. I'm surprised at how fast-paced it all is compared to the Flash game. All the early levels took mere seconds, although it's probably easing you in, but it seems very seamless when you complete a level (or when you die) to jump back to the gameplay. I heard there's meant to be 100 levels in the main story, plus each one has a Dark World version, bringing that total to 200. Let's not forget the retro-themed warp zones, which by the way is a brilliant idea.
