Title: GameCube Score/Brag Thread
Post by: UncleBob on February 03, 2010, 10:34:47 PM
Now that the GameCube has been dead and gone for awhile, I'm finding some great deals on stuff. I scored a copy of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes for about $20. :)
And, finally, added this sweet piece to my collection: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v180/TheUncleBob/Mobile%20Uploads/0203002129.jpg)
What GCN finds have you made recently?

Is Medal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes a rare game or something?
When did Nintendo release that combo pack? Are there any others?

It's supposed to be one of the more-rare GCN titles. Take this with a grain of salt though: http://www.rarityguide.com/gamecube_view.php I've wanted it for awhile and just lucked in to a great price on it...
As for this combo - I honestly don't know for sure. Friend tells me he thinks it was from a System Bundle released at some point, but I don't recall such a bundle being released...

Wow, that's pretty cool.
Well I got some Zelda Collector's Disc which came packaged with the GC for a while from a friend. Supposedly it's rare in PAL regions, but I got it for free off him.
Yeah, Twin Snakes is pretty rare here, but I bought it when it was first released so it's hardly a bargain, but if I sold it I would get twice what I paid for it.

Of the top 20 on Rarity Guide I have 6 of them. That's pretty cool since I bought all of them at the time of release and wasn't really trying to get something rare at the time. :)

What are the Top 20 on the rarity scale?

Wow, I actually have a few of those, including GG&E, Ocarina of Time/Master Quest, and MMX Collection. I used to have the Mario Kart w. bonus disk, but I got rid of it because I never played it anymore. The bonus disk had some mildly entertaining demos.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker [w/ Ocarina of Time/Master Quest) Beyond Good & Evil Mario Kart: Double Dash (with bonus disc) and possibly Skies of Arcadia Legends (was there more than one version?)

Lets see I have Skies of Arcadia Legends. I have the Metroid Prime and Prime bonus disk. I had DDR Mario Mix but I gave it to someone for Christmas.I gave my nephew Megaman X Collection for his Birthday one year.I did preorder Windwaker and got the Master quest disk but it got stolen a few years back. Most of these I saw at Gamestop the other day.Mainly the Zelda collections.

I recall picking Twin Snakes up for about $20 at Wal-Mart years ago. I don't think it was part of the Player's Choice lineup, but it dropped pretty heavily there in that last year or two of the GameCube's life. I think you overpaid for it, considering.

I don't have any of those twenty. That's a shame, because there are a few on there that I'd like to try, but I wouldn't want to pay much for them. And I really want that Mario DDR game...

If you have something really rare it could mean big bucks if you were to sell it on ebay.

If you have something (http://www.something.com/) really rare (http://rareware.com) it could mean big bucks (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/home/doorway-home.jsp;jsessionid=2FMDUAOZB5XF1LAQBBKCCOVMCAEFKIWE?vendor=doorway2009/door_cabgames.jsp&_requestid=152286) if you were to sell it on ebay (http://ebay.com).
