The games that are there are only a small taste of what's in store. We expect to have a big update on Thursday as well as a cool announcement on Monday (approval gods willing)."

or something that i thought up a long time ago (and forgot lots of the details of) an adventure RPG set in Hyrule that doesn't have The Hero in it.. but the Zelda games never have had a really developed human race to use for this game..

Well I don't think showing off the next Zelda this early will hurt sales that much. I mean this sort of thing is pretty common with the Final Fantasy series and I don't think they sell worse because of people waiting for the next title. It's not like one can't have BOTH games. This isn't like Street Fighter II Turbo where the new game makes the old one obsolete. People knew about GTA: Vice City since last year's E3 and GTA3 still sold well up to Vice City's release. In fact it still sells well even with both titles on the market.
Plus the average person has no clue about a game's existence until they see some sort of ad for it. The amount of gamers that are "hardcore" enough to follow E3 that don't already own Wind Waker and plan on likely buying it in the future but wouldn't buy it if a new Zelda game was announced is probably pretty small. I think anyone who would rather wait for a new Zelda than buy Wind Waker likely has no plans on buying Wind Waker period because they hate the graphics. I don't know any Zelda fans who wouldn't buy both titles.

It would be really cool if it was a Legend of Zelda RPG made by Square Enix. Kind of like Super Mario RPG but with Zelda characters. I'm not realistically expecting that but it would be REALLY cool and would allow a Zelda game to be released between Wind Waker and the next "real" Zelda game.
Of course it's possible that this E3 stuff in next month's issue has nothing to do with Zelda and they just used a silhouette of a familiar character to generate interest. In this context Link might just be used as a graphical way to represent Nintendo's E3. Plus even though NP has mentioned Soul Calibur II before it doesn't mean that they won't show it off here. This seems to just be an E3 article and that doesn't mean that everything shown will be top secret. Soul Calibur II likely will be shown off at Nintendo's booth and therefore would be part of the article along with some secret stuff.

Like some people have been saying, it is either a GBA game or a game that has Link but has nothing to do with the LEGEND OF ZELDA.
For instance, Super Smash Bros. 3 or Link in MarioKart or something like that.
I would like a new SSB than another Legend of Zelda strickly for one reason......LAN MULTIPLAYERERERUERUIAYREUIR!!!

As far as what the silhouette of Soul Calibur II Link from Nintendo Power is, I have no idea. It's obviously not referring to SCII, since they've already put pics of that in the magazine. It could be a new GC Zelda game, a spinoff, a new SSB game, or maybe something else entirely (or perhaps none of the above, and they're just messing with our heads by putting that silhouetted Link in there to begin with ).
The bottom line is that we don't know and may have to wait until E3 to find out. It's only two weeks away now, though!

And I don't think he lied. There was an improvement on Thursday, but the Monday news is still iffy.
Nintendo wouldn't hype us about Sega's line up, that's ludacris (specially when the other systems got good games too).
Either NOA mod choked or.... Nintendo delayed their plans....it's all good though. I can wait till E3.

Well. Saw the supposed Capcom GC lineup posted over at newtechnix yesterday. link
Hopefully Dead Phoenix isn't cancelled even though it isn't on the list. Note of interest is the seemingly out of the blue title "Gacha Force", noted as a GC exclusive. The post also mention which games will be playable and which will only have a video representation. Hm. I just mention this all to pass the time. Hope no one minds.
Anyone got any idea what the heck this supposed Gacha Force could be?
