Ugh...that "bring more smiles" line is just as groan-inducing as it was at E3. Overall, not a bad performance for Reggie, though it was the typical Nintendo line of answers.

Bring more smiles... hmm... It sounds really tacky, but personally, I buy it. I remember reading somewhere that Miyamoto likes to watch the faces of players when he's focus-testing ideas, not just listen to their skewed feedback (can you believe focus-testers said they hated the first NES SMB?), so "bring more smiles" sounds right in line with an internal japanese Miyamoto development mantra that somehow marketting wasn't able to fully communicate.
EDIT:
Just watched the vid. Man, it's been awhile since I watched Reggie in action. Is it wrong for me to say that I found that 5 minutes... soothing?

Little known fact: Reggie took my name. :(

If so then you better watch out. Whenever Reggie takes a name, an ass kicking will eventually follow.
You can get a new name and flee to a foreign country, but Reggie will still hunt you down. It is inevitable.

I delivered pizza to a fancy house where the dog was named Reggie. I never saw him but I heard him barking at me while the owner kept telling him to be quiet. I was afraid of what Reggie's canine namesake could do to me. Sounded huge from the barks.
