Title: So Craig's List is great...
Post by: BranDonk Kong on December 26, 2009, 07:55:27 PM
...I bought a "3 red lights" Xbox 360 from some dude for $30. Turns out it was still under warranty, so I sent it in for free, then sold it today at GameStop for $90. Normally they only give $60 or $70, but I highly recommend people check they local Craig's List pages for stuff like this. Make sure the system is less than 3 years old, and has never been opened (make sure warranty seal is still in tact too), it's an easy way to make free money.

Interesting... in my area there are a ton of ads for people offering to "fix" them for $30-$45 and people with wanted ads for broken systems at up to $70.

I wouldn't buy them at any more than $40. I know how to fix them (at least as well as anyone on Craig's List does) too, but I really struck gold with this one being in warranty still.

Good job making some quick cash.  ;)  If you think you can keep making money off it, do it.
