Joystiq had stumbled across the video earlier in the day, however it was pulled shortly thereafter. Speculation that the game would soon be announced was further fueled by GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley, who said in a VGA teaser that, "You gotta tune into the VGAs to see the announcement of the next Rock Band game."
The game will be only the second band-specific Rock Band title, following this year's The Beatles: Rock Band.
The only band that could follow The Beatles would be Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin: Rock Band would be EPIC.
I am looking forward to playing all of their songs (if I get the game and all the DLC).
Ok, their last 2 albums are (a little) different from all the others, though they are very much like each other.
And the music genre continues to die. If you look at the sales of both these series only 2 years ago, and then compare them to what they have now, the drop is ridiculous. Really now, it's one thing to release a yearly installment of a game, but to release 3-5 different versions of what gameplay wise is the SAME DAMN GAME in a single year is just beyond stupid.
Oh well, in about 5 years both series will be dead because of their stupidity.
They've really re-invented themselves in the last few years, which is no easy feat after being irrelevant for so long.

You mean they went from playing bubblegum punk to playing bubblegum punk while wearing lots of eye liner? :P
I mean you go from The Beatles to Green Day....... Why there are so, so many better bands than freaking Green Day..... Hundreds of better bands.....
I'm getting the feeling that DDR and Rockband are going to be spending a lot of time together on store shelves in the next few years.....

I still think that the DDR pads should be integrated into DJ Hero. DJ really only exist at clubs, so having a stripper or go-go girl on the DDR Pad makes sense.

The same could be said of the Beatles.
Only if you've never ventured outside the mainstream in music. Well, that's not even true because The Doors>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The Beatles.
The Beatles are the Halo of the music industry.
I have never understood what people see in The Beatles and I never will. The music is simplistic and boring, the harmonization is basic and lacking in quality, and Ringo is as terrible an asset to The Beatles as Lars Ulrich is to Metallica.
On the one hand, Green Day wrote and sang one of my favorite all-time songs: "The Time of Your Life."

Well, Harmonix has referred to that as a Track Pack, so I don't count it as a separate title. Was it the full retail $50 when it was released?

Sure, I'd rather see The Decemberists: Rock Band, but then I'd need to get a plastic mandolin, cello, and pirate ship.
Rockband ain't done until you need an accordion.

I've never heard of The Decemberists and I would buy that just for the chance to play songs with a Mandolin on a Pirate Ship.Rockband ain't done until you need an accordion.

Green Day didn't write Good Riddance, Billy Joe Armstrong did...when he was in another band (and quitting said band). It's really not even a "Green Day" song, since he's the only one who takes part in it (besides a cello/violin player, IIRC). Oh, and it sucks, too. Also...Blvd. of Broken Dreams is a rip-off (musically and the flow of the lyrics) of Tracy Chapman's "For My Lover" (listen to it on YouTube right here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMSFig8VgXE)).
Dude, it's not (much of) a stretch, it's the same 4 chords. The difference is Chapman doesn't have a bass playing along so it sounds a little different.
