Square Enix announced that they will be offering different pre-order bonuses for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.

The bonuses will differ according to the store where the pre-order is made. Players who choose GameStop will receive a special $5 discount when they purchase the game. Amazon buyers will receive an exclusive 2010 calendar when pre-ordering the game. Finally, Best Buy will offer a special soundtrack sampler for those who reserve the game there.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Chronicles is set for a December 26 release in North America.

If the "sampler" is the only digi-musak they're giving away, then I guess I'll just go ahead and rip the music streams from the game directly instead.

I remember the Ocarina of Time "soundtrack" that Nintendo of America sold many moons ago.  It sucked.

I hate store specific promos, especially when different stores have different promos.

So basically the GameStop "bonus" is getting the game for $45 +tax rather than the normal $50 +tax.

Which is super-lame, when you consider that Amazon will likely have it on sale for $45 before launch.

No you didn't.  You got the story wrong.  You said it was on sale at GS for $45 with a pre-order bonus of a sampler CD.  That's most of the information, but they were jumbled up, and you completely left off the calendar.

I only mentioned the Soundtrack Sampler and track listing in that post you quoted.

but I did also provide a link to GameStop selling the game for $5 less in the post I linked to.

I never said where the pre-order bonus was coming from because at the time(8 days ago) it wasn't known. You assumed that it was coming from GS, I never said that GS specifically had a pre-order or that that pre-order bonus was from GS.
Thanks for playing though, please try again.

Looks like Amazon.com won again.

I'm still trying to decide on which 2 games to buy to get my $40 dollar credit to use towards NSMB, wish I could pre-order this to count towards that.
