And how would starting a drama club make things any different than they already are around here?
I don't see a difference unless we get every post that has drama in this topic. Not likely.

Maxi and I are definitely in the Drama Club. So is broodwars.
Maxi and I are on one side, broodwars is on the other one.
I need a script, FAST!

This thread fails for being in the Funhouse, which means Ian, NWR's biggest drama queen, will never be a part of it.

*Looks around* Does anybody want to PM this topic to Ian? I don't think it would be a good idea.

I can think of other people more prone to drama than Ian. I don't even see how he is a 'drama queen'.

So can I, but unlike those people I like Ian. It seems quaint that at one point he was our greatest concern.

I think that at least Ian can support his logic and reasoning, and that's what it takes for a solid post to defend controversial opinions. You can have a reasonable debate with Ian, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Hence why I like Ian. I don't know why you people have to try to take him down a peg behind his back so often.

I like Ian Sane too. I know he can be negative at times but he does raise some valid points. His taste in games is completely different than mine however.

We should start the Ian Sane Fanclub.

I would hardly call Ian the forum's Drama Queen.

No, you can't do that. It would be an invasion of privacy to bring up someone's gender.
Only if they want to be the one who gets to choose the right time to reveal that.
Yeah, but see, even though no one would be forcing any of the 'grls' to "reveal" their gender, they might feel obligated to do so. Then complain about it as if they were violated in some horrible way.
"Mommy, the mean man on the internet posted something that made me say I was female. Then life went on. I'm so violated!"

Look, I get it, you don't respect me, and I'm fine with that. Would it be so difficult to just leave me alone?

I was just saying that bringing up someone's gender is, apparently, an invasion of one's privacy and could make them feel violated - thus one shouldn't do it.
Are you disagreeing with this statement?
I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to achieve here.

I'm just trying to understand how you feel towards me. I'm sorry, but I honestly can't tell if you seriously have some problem with me or if it is all really in jest. If I did something to annoy you, then I'm sorry about that, I wasn't trying.
With the gender thing, I think you just picked the wrong person. I was already really nervous about revealing that so in my case it felt like an invasion of my privacy that somebody seemingly wanted to know. I don't know what your intention was, but that's what it felt like. Because of past experiences I thought that people would respect me less if they knew I am female, and, well, sometimes I do feel like people respect me less now than when I first joined.

It's good we're getting this out in the open.
Honestly, I have zero interest in your gender. You, like the majority of members on this forum, are nothing but words on a screen to me. While I do enjoy most of your posts, I don't think your gender - or the gender of any other members of this forum - gives anyone any special insight to the majority of topics discussed on here. Maybe Pale's girly car.
As I explained before, the poll topic was a joke topic on a joke forum (spun off from posts made by other members on the forum - not me), never really meant to be taken seriously - and not something I really cared if an honest answer ever came from it (thus the "other" option).
Now - and I'm only speaking for myself here - but I don't respect you less because you're "male", "female" or "other". However, your response to the thread - made on the joke forum - has changed my opinion of you.
If you go through the history of this forum, you'll find several threads - some jokes, some serious - most way more offensive than the "Do you dip or dangle?" - aimed at several different members of our lovely cast of characters here at NWR (including me). Some were ignored (I notice that most of the jabs at Ian get ignored). Some were laughed with. Some were attacked. It's all about the type of response given.
No one is going to judge you by the posts I make. They're only going to judge you by your own posts.

Well I guess I'm just not used to that then. I don't really know very many people who joke around in some of the harsh ways that many people here do. Though I did handle that topic poorly, and I am disappointed in myself for that.
Anyways, thank you for telling me that. I guess I'll try not to take what you say too seriously even if it seems disrespectful. I'm sorry if I've annoyed you or anything like that.

Why do you think I want you for my wife? Because you're some some kind of baby factory? What kind of man do you think I am? I love you, not your procreating ability. So we have a problem. Well, we'll learn to deal with it, one way or another.

The more i think about it, I really DO miss Kai. He was a big part of the forum..
He was like that crazy optimistic aunt you see at thanksgiving that you just KNOW goes home and curses up a storm over the littlest things but when she's around the rest of the family she's SOOOooo positive. He kept the attitude from ever dropping below dangerous levels at this place and for that he is missed. Look at us now, we're all just miserable trolls without him.
