What're you trying to say, exactly...?

No. The point is that Black History Month is bold easy to read writing and Walgreen's is smaller, cursive, colored text that doesn't draw the eye towards it. Walgreen's should have made their name bigger and more attractive. That no doubt is what BlackNMil2k1 is pointing out in this textbook example of bad marketing.

EDIT: Ha ha. I didn't realize I had posted again in this thread. I even quoted the wrong thing. I was going to quote Zap and just mention that the same thought actually occured to me as I was typing that message and then I felt I better leave it in for a more fun racially awkward statement. Then I felt it wasn't neccessary to say anything at all. But since this post was already made, I might as well make use of it.

EDIT: What the? I thought I was just modifying that second post. Instead I posted again. This thread is messing with me. I think I'm going to stay far away from it.

Sounds like a clear case of racism to me. That is, if I correctly know who your current president is.

Back in the day, men wanted to keep their women barefoot and pregnant.

It is funny how some women are obsessed with shoes. My girlfriend and my friends wife both love shoes and always have to have more. Though I guess that isn't terribly different from us gamers loving games and always wanting more of them.

Go to a night club and you'll learn that womens shoes can't even provide a couple of hours of comfort because they always end up taking them off cuz their feet hurt too bad. the ones that keep them on end up breaking them.

i never had that happen with a game.

7yr old Discovers Racist Couch (http://www.weirdasianews.com/2009/05/25/7-yearold-discovers-racist-couch/)
Quote
Furniture shopping: Everyone’s done it… a sturdy new coffee table, a firm yet all encompassing easy chair for the TV room – or a full-size, extra cozy couch the whole family can enjoy.

Canadian couple Doris Moore and her husband Douglas decided to make such a purchase – and chose a lovely, brand-new, brown leather set: Couch, loveseat and chair…

What they did not purchase was the particular shade of brown they got.

The tags, boldly appearing on each piece, told the Moores in no uncertain terms that the color of their comfy new set was actually “*CENSORED*” Enough to shock even the staunchest bigot where they stand…but that wasn’t the worst part – it was their 7 year old daughter who discovered the flagrantly fiendish flub.

I will not provide a pic, but you can find one at the link.

He's like I can't believe this word is still around. This makes me sick. I don't know why of all the workers at the store he came to me complain, maybe because I'm the most translucent blonde blue-eyed person at the store. I point out that its not the N word, and that the N word has 2 gs never mind the n word and Niger are not even etymologically linked other than and that their spelling is only similar by mere twisted cosmic fate, but he wouldn't relent and he took the dvd and broke it to pieces.  Nevermind its a movie based on a Tony award winning broadway play written by an African American playright and presented by a prestigious African American theatre production company starring academy/emmy/golden globe nominated/winner James Earl Jones..but eh I'll probably never see that dude again.

This is kinda a near failure on my part.

It's dinner time and I'm eating dinner and the two little girls also eating wanted something to drink. So I goto the fridge to see what they can have and all thats there is water. So I do a quick visual scan across teh kitchen (because their mom just went grocery shopping and hadn't put everything away yet) and saw a container of what looked like grape drink.
I pick it up and was about to unscrew the top when I look closer at the the name and the pic on the front
(http://i45.tinypic.com/21ctpqv.jpg)
when I notice what looks like a mop!!! This is some grape juice lookin floor mopping solution?

Who puts cleaning chemicals in a container that looks like it's made for fruit juice especially when the chemical looks like a fruit juice?

I had to make sure to point out to the kids that that wasn't juice and not to drink it, just incase they found it under the sink later(next to the sodas) thinking it was some juice that hadn't made it's way to the fridge yet.

Looking at that, I still want to drink it :P

I believe something like Pinesol had this issue before, where it looked like Apple Juice, and people drank it.

The moral of the story?  In the supermarket, when you buy a cleaning product, by something you believe you won't mistake for a tasty beverage, because it has happened before, and I'm sure you don't want it to happen to you!

Sometimes when advertising yourself, your job can get in the way of the relationship you're trying to establish.
I don't think it's this guys job that is sabotaging his effort though.

I hate you MTV, but now I have to tune into this one episode of Jersey shore to find out why
THIS GIRL (http://www.mtv.com/onair/jersey_shore/photos/cast/promo/nicole/281x211.jpg) got "knocked the **** out"[/smokey] by that guy.

For those that don't know(& I apologize now for even informing you) Jersey Shore is MTV's new Guido Reality Show that features a bunch of fake orange tanned over muscled meat heads and the female equivalent that is attracted to them. The GIF above is from a teaser clip from some episode this season. I probably won't catch the episode, but I will want to see The Soup(on E!) the from the week that it airs.

Haterade at it's finest (wasn't sure where to stick this story)

Sticker-Shocked FDA Can't Swallow Tiger Woods' Haterade (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b161702_sticker-shocked_fda_cant_swallow_tiger.html)
Quote
It may not have been pop art per se, but since noncarbonated sports beverage art doesn't have quite the same ring to it, we're going with the former.

Unfortunately, the apparently humorless FDA is going with another characterization altogether: illegal. The feds have launched an investigation into the sudden appearance of bootleg Gatorade bottles in Colorado stores.
Instead of the usual quenched-thirst-promising labels, the bottles were restickered with a picture of Tiger Woods, a longtime albeit discontinued spokesman for the drink shiller, along with the word unfaithful.

And it wasn't exactly the crime of the century: The labels also featured a website address, which the crack investigators over at Denver's KUSA news team used to track down the man behind the haterade campaign, who promptly fessed up to the bottlejacking.

Which would ordinarily be the end of the story, were it not for the justice-seekers and free time-holders over at the FDA's Office of Criminal Investigations, who have decided that the prank constitutes a possible case of tampering, or (oh, the irony) "adulteration," as the agency calls it.

Samples of the offending Gatorade are currently being tested to determine whether it was simply the labels, or, damningly for the artistes, the entire contents of the bottles, that were messed with.

Should the liquids prove to be contaminated, and the FDA decides that the contamination was intended to harm the company, federal tampering charges could be sought.

Which means Colorado artist Jason Kay may soon regret his apparent inability to master the art of the "no comment."

Kay told KUSA that with the help of an artist pal—one who had the good sense to remain anonymous—he planted 1,000 of the bottles across the state for the simple purpose of creating conversation.

Job done.

He said the project was "very expensive" but would not go into how they went about manufacturing the labels or distributing the bottles.
He did, however, admit that he had already been contacted—and probably not just for a friendly chat—by Gatorade.

Needless to say, it's not the kind of project they were ever likely to drink up.

Modern Toilet (http://www.spike.com/blog/modern-toilet-is/74101) - Taipei, Taiwan
(http://i48.tinypic.com/2elqdc2.jpg)

Most Popular Desert: Scoop of Poop Ice Cream (http://i49.tinypic.com/64309u.jpg)
Most Popular Dinner: Curry served in a mini toilet bowl.
-fact: most people that order it can't even bring themselves to eat it.
-why? have you seen curry? no picture it in a toilet bowl.
Dinner is served on sinks and bath tubs while you sit on toilets. (http://i47.tinypic.com/21mb0yf.jpg)
Mascot: Giant Pink Poo Poo

The Lighting Fixtures: modeled after piles of poop. yes, piles of poop.

another fun fact: people have actually entered the restaurant looking to buy toilets for their home.

I just seen this on the Travel Channel, Here is the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85nwqhaCIgU)

p.s. Your drinks are served in either a mini urinal like in the pic, or a portable urinal (http://i45.tinypic.com/ery5q0.jpg) that you might take with you on a some sort of trip.
