The following games are featured in this episode:

Mega Man 64   (N64)
Shadow Man   (N64)
DuckTales   (NES)

Also, I'd like to apologize to Sundoulos for failing to use the question he provided for the third game:

Q] What cameo role does the series' traditional villain play in this game?
A] Boat Owner/Captain (Wily)

Just as a heads-up, in case anyone else experiences a problem.  I couldn't get the .mp3 file to play until I reset the ID3 tag information.

Other than that...great episode. :)

I'm one of the people who loved game 3, obviously, and didn't mind the non-Mega Man ness.  You couldn't acquire enemy weapons, but you did buy or find different weapons and augments for Megaman, including a sabre-weapon like Zero traditionally used.

Megaman in this game was referred to as "Megaman Volnutt" (Rock Vonutt in Japan).  You could also acquire his traditional helmet at some point in the game.

here are certain elements in the game that loosely ad one to think it follows the MegaMan X series in the overall timeline.  For example, in Japan, the Purifier Units were called Irregular Hunters, the same term used for Maverick Hunters in the X series.  There are so many Mega Man spinoffs now, I think that's lost all meaning, though.

Very nice episode.  #5 brought back some good memories.

Loved #5, too.  I never was able to buy it, but I rented it several times over the years.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have most of the Disney Afternoon stuff from the 80s/90s on DVD...Ducktales was my favorite, with the possible exception of the Gummi Bears.  I remember Capcom's Rescue Rangers game being really good as well.

I wonder if the problem playing the mp3 was because of the 'ä' character in the Title. Winamp and iTunes seem to handle it, but I just noticed Windows Media Player trashes the title field and displays the filename instead, so other players could completely choke on it.

I played the episode using WMP without any problems.  As far as I know I don't have any fancy codecs or anything like that installed.

I was using WMP 10 on my work laptop.  When I tried to play the file, WMP gave me an error code complaining about the ID3 tags.  When I actually tried to pull up properties information on the file, I couldn't see any text through Windows.   It might not even be a problem with WMP itself, but just some other Windows update or font that they didn't install here.  I don't have the latest patches (as we're restricted from actually installing software updates ourselves), so maybe that's why it happened.

It worked fine on WMP after I used a program to reset the tag info.

I also just synched my the original file to my mp3 player, and it works fine.  It's probably just something weird with my Windows setup here.

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else had any difficulty.
