Sega of America has released new gameplay trailers for the DS and Wii versions of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Both trailers show off several of the games in the title, such as Ice Hockey, Bobsledding, and Figure Skating. The Wii trailer also shows how the game supports the Wii Balance Board in the Sled Racing and Bobsledding games.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is set to release on October 13 for Wii and DS in North America.

I'm considerably more interested in this game than the Summer Olympic crossover. If they flesh it out with enough depth, the Ice Hockey event could be a substantial sports game in a similar vein to Mario Strikers, standing out from the rest of it. The Dream Events seem cool too, so I'm keen to know more about them and if there's any more crazy stuff to come in that category.

That Wii trailer really gets me hyped for the game. I didn't get the first only cause I feel I can't trust the controls. But man does it look fun!

I don't know why, but I have the feeling that this will be the best game in the Olympic series. It looks like the controls will be tighter and more polished.

Yeah, but I hope it isn't too similar to Mario Strikers because I don't like that game. Though the ice hockey game has motion control which alone means it should be better.
