Title: Recommended SDHC card brands.
Post by: Spinnzilla on September 03, 2009, 12:20:02 AM
I bought a freaking 32 gig card off of Amazon, just to have the thing crap out on me and refuse to be recognized on anything (if anybody knows how to remedy this please let me know).

Now I figured I'd buy a different card.

Any brands of SDHC cards that you guys can recommend personally? I would like a working 32 gig card, just so I never have to worry about space again or at least for a while(I play alot of music games).  But I'll settle for a smaller card if need be.

San Disk - excellent
Patriot - has been pretty good to me
Kingston - same as above

Flash memory is flash memory. It's all the same stuff.

Not exactly. Don't buy anything off eBay that's ridiculously cheaper than the equivalent product on say, NewEgg, most of the time it's a counterfeit product, made in China and is crap. With stuff like DVD-Rs and flash memory, brand name does matter, a lot. With (digital) A/V cables, they're all the same. Having said that, Kingston, PNY, Panasonic, SanDisk, and even A-Data (check reviews) are typically very dependable. Just make sure you account for read/write speeds (won't be that big of a deal on the Wii since all the DLC and WiiWare, etc., is relatively small).
