The patent was filed at the European Patent Office in January, and the description states that it's an inflatable cushion with slots for motion-sensing controllers.
Despite the fact that the image shows a child being the one using the product, the patent says that adults can enjoy it too.
"Physical size is a significant problem with such prior designs [such as rocking horses and merry-go-rounds]. To be realistic and useful by older children and adults, the model's dimensions generally need to approximate the size of a real animal."
The seat could also provide force feedback in order to simulate the experience of riding a horse, as well as allow for another control to be used to simulate a weapon, a lasso or another weapon or item.
Other Nintendo patents have surfaced throughout the year, such as Miyamoto's touch screen-based role-playing game patent reported back in April as well as the Demo Play Patent (which has since then been confirmed to be in New Super Mario Bros. Wii).
