Title: Battle toads... for wii?!

Yah, I mentioned in a older post, i just bought a SNES from a relitive. It came with 10 games, and all of whiched I liked, one of the funnest two player games were, battle toads. Battle toads is a side scroller brawler that not only kicked the baddies a$$, but your friends as well as traditionaly you could hit each other.
Anyways, while looking for tricks on youtube, I came across a video... about not battletoads JUST comming to virtrual consal, but as a FULL 3D GAME sequal!

So, is this the real thing?! It looks cheap, but convincing... I am really unsure of this, but seems real enough, and the game play makes sence on the wii.

It's fake.
The "Wii would like to play" gang was obviously taken from, what else, the TV ads. Props to the graphics though.
And Rare owns the Battletoads license, so a 3-D remake and the sort would appear on the 360, not Wii. With more Brown Shading. (haha)

If he really can't tell it's fake the "Do a barrel roll" and the clip from the f-zero anime totally give it away as being from 4chan... Meh, Tacnol [sic] is a dead giveaway.
Also it's missing the 60Hz and EDTV icons so this would be a lame ass 50Hz only game.

Microsoft owns the Battletoads IP, so a Wii version won't happen. A DS version is possible since Microsoft doesn't make portable systems and has shown that they don't mind their IP's being on Nintendo handhelds (see Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise).

The generic Dolby symbol is mostly found on... tape decks and VCRs and massive cool 1980s stereos.

I also like how the copyright text is oddly fused together and how it uses Activision's UK address even though it's "published" by a defunct company which has a split personality of Tradewest and Tradewinds in the copyright text. :P

Not at all. As much as I love Battletoads, he sums up my thoughts on the subject quite nicely. It's especially funny that they quit where I had quit. The game is fucking impossible.
And yes, that music when you press start is awesome.
