I don't even remember the controls, I guess I should have practiced before tonight. I finally figured out how to lock-on and enter unit commands, but how do you jump and roll?

LOL, sorry Pro. He sent me a request so I thought we were all going to play the same game. I did not know it was only 1v1 or co-op matches.
Looks like Mop it up and I both suck bad. But she beat me in a skirmish so I suck worse.
This is the first time I played any multiplayer with this game.

It is difficult to win. You have to play your cards right. You and I don't know how to play our cards at all. Though it was pretty sad in that co-op match where it was down to your last gunner or my last anti air ship to kill the towers. Also losing all of my infantry in the first minute of that lavel sucked. All I could do was shoot down the planes.

Skirmish is tough, like Omaha Beach tough. A lot of it is making clear decisions and striking fast.

Lol, yeah, with the Anti-Air you were chipping away at that tower for a good two minutes. Pretty funny.
I unlocked the fourth co-op mission though. I got a "C" on missions 1 and 3 but didn't complete number 2.

I don't like getting the CHOPPA, this game really needs Wii Speak.
Laffo, you shouldn't have gone there! I had crucial Anti-Airguys to free (cuz they would've been helpful), plus a Bazooka for you.
And my Anti-Air guys are invincible against HEAVY TANKS. naaawwwt really, that's your job

I think so, if you hover over each of the 3 categories with your cursor, it will in detail breakdown how you got that percentage.
Does that information detail just MY team or BOTH me and my ally?
I'll just record the stats from all my matches and compare them here with y'all.

Looks like I was wrong, it was just mission 1 we hadn't played. Though I hadn't used the air units army in mission 4 before so that made that mission feel new! I'm still figuring out the controls for air units because they are really bizarre...
Looks like we got "B" and "A" ranks this time, so we still have some improving to do. Perhaps we can try for better tomorrow night?
I still don't know how to jump and roll though, how does that work? Are there any other special techniques which I should know about?

When doing a roll you also have to have the analog stick either left or right.

I like playing with you, Pro.
Plus I'm getting the hang of delegating troops to deal with the proper enemies. I forgot I had AA infantry on that last mission.
I had to hop off for a second to do something else. But I'm down for some more if you are.
How do you think I did on that first assult mission we did? I had 20-seconds left on the clock when you won. Is that good? I've never done an assult before.

On that first assault, you were kicking my ass. I was disoriented having only fighter jets, trying to catch your jets, and I can't control them well with this bad sensor bar setup at my PC. Then I said screw it, i'll just rush the objectives.
And actually, Flames did better at defending than you. I always got to the HQ, but he holds until the time runs out. You were actually the first I've won against. During my defense, I kept the enemy outside the HQ.
And great job on the S-mission! Great to see units chase the enemy on-time.

Those were fun matches, Pro. Though I think that last co-op robbed us of another S. That one try where my tank fell off was really frustrating. I didn't even think I was near the edge :/ But we won in the end.

I eventually switched to a different guy, allowing the swimmer to automatically find his way back to my group.
The friendly AI in this series is darn smart and people don't give this game credit for it.

I don't think a lot of people gave this game much credit. But it is a top notch production. The only things that could have made it better would have been WiiSpeak support (which wasn't possible at the time) and more multilayer levels.

LAN, maybe. But I don't think this type of game would have been condusive to spit screen play. Too much you need to keep track of.

I don't think so at all. I need all the viewing space I can get. I play at medium zoom most of the time. The addition of same-room communication doesn't make up for hurting one's play by splitting/shrinking the view. The HUD already takes up an uncomfortable amount of real estate in full or widescreen.

Though maybe if I play the co-op missions enough then I'd learn from experience and be able to figure out how to get an S-rank. Switching armies every time you restart a mission can be disorienting though...

I was just as clueless as you. I think I got those S ranks with Pro because he carried us to victory. Plus I am learning. Remember I only got the game a day or two before the event started.
We can learn together.
I agree they are disorienting when you switch. I noticed that when we failed missions it always took us three times to win. Possibly because we don't know what we are doing on the first mission at all, on the second we see what we needed to destroy the first time because we are being killed by it this time since we switched so on our third try we knew what to focus on to keep our partner alive.
I might have something going on early Tuesday night that could keep me away until about 10PM Pacific Time, but Wednesday is all clear for me.

Most of your FonduePit nights are arranged during my work hours. I work mostly nights and sometimes I'm scheduled until 8PM 'or whenever business slows down'.
I'm currently looking for a new job that will hopefully permit me to play a lot more often.
